Essential Job Functions

• Participate in Design discussions, evaluate product designs to ensure it meets requirements and use cases

• Develop, document and execute test cases for various modes of testing: API, GUI, functional, concurrency, and system tests.

• Automate tests using Java, PL/SQL, XML and UNIX shell scripts and other automation tools

• Execute test plans, enter and track issues in the defect tracking system

• Mentor and lead other members of the test organization 

Required Skills and Competencies

• 3-5years software/IT work experience, with at least 3 year in QA

• Hands-on experience writing, executing and automating test cases

• Proficient in 2 or more of the following: Unix Shell, ANSI SQL, Java Programming, XML, JSP, Java Application Servers (Weblogic, IBM WebSphere)

• Good problem solving skills

• Excellent written and communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Education:  BE/ME Computer Science/Engineering or Masters in Computer Applications (MCA), with consistently good academic background

Desirable:

• IIT/BITS Graduate.

• Exposure to Supply Chain / Warehouse Management domain will be a plus

• Experience on IBM Sterling products will be an advantage
